WHAT IS DVD43:
DVD43 stands for DVD FOR FREE, it is a small free utility that integrates into Windows and overrides copy-protection mechanisms found on DVD-Video discs (namely, CSS) and DVD regional coding limitations. DVD43 will only work on Windows 2K and Windows XP operating systems.
DVD43 removes all copy protections from *MOST* VIDEO DVDs, decrypting data when necessary.
Why most, and not all? Because, if you insert a DVD, which is incompatible with the regional setting of your drive, it is possible that some small title sets are not correctly decrypted. This is because the decryption key shall be guessed from the data, and it's only possible on some sectors. If no weakly encrypted sectors are present on a given title set and if the DVD doesn't match the drive's region, then this title set will not be decryptable.
However, this is a RARE situation, in 99.99% of the cases, DVD43 will be able to decrypt the full DVD, no matter if the region code matches or not.
The media will be seen as a prohibition-free dvd, and the device region will always be seen as compatible.
DVD43 will Integrate nicely with CloneDVD, DVD2One, WinDVD, PowerDVD, Nero Recode, Intervideo DVD Copy, 1Click DVD Copy, Pinnacle DVD Copy, I Copy DVDs, Roxio DVD Copy etc, etc.
To install simply run the setup file which will install DVD43 onto your hard drive, You can then run it from the start button whenever you need to play, copy or rip DVD moves that are on a disc which has a different region to that of your PC DVD Rom drive.

How to use DVD43:
- Once it has been run it leaves a happy face icon on your task bar. DVD43 will run in the background and decrypt movies on the fly.
- When your DVD reader is empty or the movie inserted is not copy protected, you'll see a yellow smiley face.
- When a copy protected DVD is detected, the yellow face will turn to a red devil face for a few seconds and then to a green happy face - which means it's ready to use.
